ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are working with one of New Zealand’s most well-respected organisations here in Auckland as they are searching for a Marketing Data Analyst for a permanent role with the company. The organisation is well known across New Zealand and are very passionate about giving back to the community.  

YOUR SKILLS
 
You will have experience working with big data, a curious mind, have no fear challenging the status quo with focus on driving process improvement. You will be confident to talk to stakeholders and think outside of the box to assist with driving revenue and business growth.
 
 
THE RIGHT PERSON WILL NEED TO HAVE

  • Experience analysing Big Data
  • Strong SQL experience
  • A strong mathematical mind

 
DAY TO DAY TASKS
 

  • Recommend and undertake analysis to explain significant variances in key metrics using suitable tools
  • Undertake analysis to improve systems, process and technology supporting growth and profit
  • Identify, develop and maintain models across the customer and policy base to initiate successful marketing and pricing strategies—and to enable efficient decision making within multiple departments and disciplines
  • Extract, prepare and manipulate data for modelling and analysis
  • Identify and integrate new internal and external data sources to assist in effective business management
  • Make sound data-rational recommendations consistent with unit and organisational strategy
  • To establish a strong working relationship with external clients. To exchange ideas and build an effective methodology across all parties.
  • Carry out advanced analytic projects, bringing together multiple online data sets across the business to provide insight.
  • Lead experimentation initiatives, including the A/B testing programme
  • Work across multiple data sets covering site analytics, performance, impressions data as well as unstructured viewer data (e.g. Google Ad Manager, Youbora, Zendesk, GA)
  • Ability to conduct data modelling, regression analysis, forecasting
  • Conduct analysis of delivered product ideas to evaluate whether the value hypothesis has been met and to document learnings that inform future decisions
  • Assist in financial forecasts and tracking of product performance, and support business cases where required
