A well established Kiwi business who are leaders in their industry, and continue to go from strength to strength. They have a close-knit and technically talented IT team, with a very low staff turnover. Due to growth and a huge pipeline of projects they have created this exciting new leadership role
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key role within the leadership team and will see you directly responsible for the release pipeline. This will involve planning, co-ordinating and executing organisational technical processes to deliver the company's IT services and products with a focus on comprehensive release management. You will also have line management responsibility for the Infrastructure and Helpdesk team leaders.
Within this role your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Planning the co-ordination and scheduling for the provisioning and release of the company's products and services (infrastructure & applications)
Planning release windows and the overall release lifecycle
Managing risks that may affect the release scope
Communicating all key project plans, commitments and changes
Managing relationships and co-ordinating projects between different teams
Assisting with forward planning of resource requirements
Ensuring service delivery levels are met, and reporting on the same
Asset management of onsite hardware
Assisting with project management for infrastructure provisioning
Managing Helpdesk and Infrastructure team leaders
- 5 + years' experience in a technical leadership position
- Technical experience and thorough understanding of IT architecture and delivery challenges
- Experience operating in a DevOps environment
- A very good understanding of release management and IT change management
- Very good people management skills/experience
- Deployment Automation
- Server Virtualisation
- A depth of experience in the Microsoft stack
