What will you do?
As critical member of the CIO's leadership team, you will be the empowered representative for all things “cyber security” during IT planning initiatives. This will have you working closely with both business and IT stakeholders to balance real-world risks with business drivers such as speed, agility, flexibility and performance.
You will drive a critical security governance uplift programme across the organisation, planning and driving this from its inception, plus lead a small but growing security team providing leadership during a period of positive change, helping them to accomplish company and personal goals.
What will you have?
This is a leadership opportunity that requires a strong technical background, combined with business nous. You will have the ability to work with digital services ensuring security measures are incorporated into strategic IT plans and work with senior managers across the business aligning priorities and plans with key business objectives.
Ideally you will be an experienced leader in the security domain or a senior security professional leading the charge and ready to step up in a management role. We really need an innovative, positive and energetic professional who enjoys working in collaborative and friendly environment, all working together to achieve a common goal. You will bring the following attributes:
Highly effective leadership and management during change.
Strong project management capability including security architecture plans, budgets and resource allocation.
Solid experience performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments and defining treatment strategies.
Day to day threat and vulnerability management and risk identification experience including treatment plans.
Information security documentation, monitoring and key metric reporting.
Stakeholder management (review, implementation and monitoring with them of information security controls
Experience with and an understanding of common information security frameworks and operating systems, network protocols, vulnerability and penetrating testing and the principals of cryptography and cryptanalysis.
Experience with controls for cloud technology models and information security.
Strong understanding of the role of compliance and guidance under NZ CERT and GCSB. Plus working understanding of NZISM.
Relevant degree and industry / technical qualifications (ideally including a maintained ISACA certification).
