    IT is all about security – protecting systems from those who know they can make money from compromising an endpoint on almost any network. Our client are the New Zealand agent for more than 30 overseas vendors with a particular focus in the areas of security, network management, help desk systems, and disaster recovery, supporting New Zealand IT companies to deliver solutions to their customers.     Who are you?


    You may be in a product management role already and looking for a change in team culture, or you might be someone in a sales, technical or customer service role who would like the opportunity to fully own a brand. We are happy to help you grow your skills in these areas. Attitude is the key to success as a product manager – wanting to deliver for the vendor and the customer.


    You are passionate about technology and enjoy the process of sharing your knowledge with others. You can source new customers and business contacts, demonstrate the technical features of our products, drive sales, and maintain strong customer relations. You understand how to manage your time effectively and are not shy to pick up the phone.


    To be effective in this role you will need to focus on creating strong, lasting relationships with the vendors within your portfolio, technical understanding of how your brands work and access to some quality banter. You will need to be knowledgeable about competing products and should have the ability to break down technical terminology to non-technical clients.


    Excellence in public speaking, presentation skills and delivering clearly articulated content is crucial. You should be so good that you can teach a co-worker the difference between their, there and they’re with no sweat. You have the wisdom to convey difficult concepts as simply as possible and understand that you may not have all the answers but know where to find them.


    What is the Role?

    Our client has two positions currently available. One is to look after key brands covering Network EquipmentUPS systems and NAS technology. The other is looking after BackupRMM and Security solutions.

    All these brands are industry ‘best of breed’ with a significant customer base both locally and across the globe. Based in Auckland with the option to work at least some time from home, the purpose of this role is to manage and grow your brands in our clients channel community and to be the point of contact between our client, our clients customers, and our clients vendors. You will play a vital role in ensuring the needs of our clients vendors and creating business opportunities with our clients resellers. 


    You will work closely with both the relevant Channel Managers and other stakeholders for this role however, will report directly to the Head of Channel on all deliverables. 


    What we need?

  • Explaining technical information to customers and internal stakeholders in a way that is easily understandable.
  • Keeping customers informed about new technological products.
  • Come up with amazing marketing ideas and initiatives and have the oversight to see them through successfully.
  • Take the stories to our channel, in ways they’ll listen AND understand.
  • Be the ‘go-to chef’ for all your brands. A chef should know all the recipes and have knowledge of the kitchen.
  • Demonstrating the technical features and benefits of our clinets products.
  • Deliver champion like presentations to vendors and to the channel both virtually and in person. It’s essential to tell why the presentation crossed the road – To get to the other slide.
  • Attend & Enjoy tradeshows, event, seminars, or other field activities and represent your brands.
  • Ensure Sales Engineers and other internal stakeholders are up to date with the latest news from your brands.
  • Contribute to marketing channels by sharing some exciting content via eDM or socially.
  • Act as a contact between our client, our clients customers, and our clients vendors
  • Stay up to date on all things relevant to the brands your responsible for
