Our client is a New Zealand owned innovative technology company based in Hamilton. They are experiencing considerable growth and now require an additional team member to join their highly motivated team supporting an increasing number of nationwide clients.

This role focus’ on providing escalation and overflow support for the customers along with project delivery, problem management, and customer infrastructure monitoring and management. It is a senior technical role that provides technical leadership to both their customers and internal teams to ensure their clients and private platforms are designed and managed appropriately as well as the ongoing management of complex projects and platform changes.


  • Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role or 8 years plus experience in technical environment in a large enterprise organisation
  • Proven experience working for a managed service provider at an intermediate or senior level.
  • As the role is client facing you MUST HAVE exceptional communication skills.
  • Extensive experience working with clients either recommending appropriate solutions, including new or enhanced systems and technology infrastructure.
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies both on-prem and cloud, office 365/Azure, VMware or Hyper-V and Citrix or RDS deployments.


  • Provide 2nd/3rd Level escalation and overflow Technical Support, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • System maintenance, patching and upgrades on the customers servers, application upgrades or other appropriate solutions and hardware for customers
  • Being part of the on-call roster for afterhours support and maintenance
  • Working with customers to recommend appropriate solutions, including new or enhanced systems, technology or infrastructure
  • Monitor and Manage customer server performance and capacity along with application and database backups and maintenance.
