Frontend React/TypeScript Developer
06 Jan 2022
Now this is one of the most exciting roles I have had the pleasure of working on in a while! This company has some of the biggest profile clients out there. This is an opportunity to work with some of the best out there. We are seeking an experienced front-end React Developer (3+ years) ready to take a lead role in an Auckland-based team. You will be working on a best-in-class virtual events platform that services arts institutions and world-leading brands. Examples of types of platforms are virtual golf games, team build, photobooth, art galleries and even gender reveal.
Our ideal candidate will care deeply about the end-user experience, and be interested in applying gaming technologies in novel ways.
You may have already managed other developers and be wanting a bit more flexibility, or be ready to step up to the plate and play a lead role in a small but experienced team.
This role can be a mixture of remote and working from the office in Auckland, and reports to the CTO New York City.
You will also have a budget for your own upskilling to become the most creative “you”.
Some of what you’ll do:
– Define scope to build out modules and core features for an MMORPG for virtual events
– Collaborate with other developers, game designers, artists and producers to ideate and build out new features for the core platform
– Create custom modules on quick turnaround projects for world-leading artists and brands.
– Help upskill less senior developers in our Auckland office (with support from our NZ based Producer)
At an absolute minimum you will have React and TypeScript. What would come in useful as an added bonus would be multiplayer networking, WebRTC, Node.js and problem solving.
While the role will be focused on React development, you will have the option to upskill in things like:
– Virtual Reality
– Virtual Production
– Augmented Reality
you have to admit, this sounds like an incredible opportunity to work on some of the most exciting projects out there.
