8 September 2021 · Absolute IT IT Jobs IT News
Our offices in Auckland remain closed at Alert Level 4, however in Auckland we are working remotely and available should you need us. As a result of the announcement made at 4.00pm on Monday 6th August 2021, at 11:59pm on Tuesday the 7th of August the rest of New Zealand (apart from Auckland) moved to Alert Level 2. Our offices throughout the rest of New Zealand re-opened from 8:30am on Wednesday 8th September 2021. Please visit our contact us page for details of how to contact your closest branch, or reach out directly to your consultant. Please take care of yourself, and those around you. You can read more about our current COVID-19 response below.
Our Recruitment Processes
In Auckland our team continues to operate remotely, and your Absolute IT consultant should be your first port of call for any questions regarding the recruitment process. In many instances, the recruitment process can continue by utilising video calls, phone calls and email. Where appropriate we can utilise our offices, ensuring all cleaning/masking/distancing/sign-in protocols are maintained. In some cases, the process may need to be paused, but we will communicate any changes to you.
For the rest of New Zealand our offices are open, and the recruitment process will continue with video calls, phone calls and email, but you may also meet with us face to face. If you do come to one of our offices, we will have the required Alert Level 2 protocols in place. These include:
- If you are not feeling well and have an appointment to see us, please let us know and remain at home. If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, contact your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453. https://covid19.govt.nz/health-and-wellbeing/about-covid-19/covid-19-symptoms/
- To support contact tracing and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the community, you will be required to scan in using our QR codes or complete our register – this is a condition of entry from 11:59pm on Tuesday 7th September 2021 in accordance with Government guidelines.
- We will have hygiene measures in place, we will be regularly cleaning surfaces and we will have sanitiser available.
- We will all need to observe 1 metre physical distancing in our offices.
- We encourage you to wear a face mask at our offices.
Our Current Contractors
If you are a current Absolute IT contractor, your consultant will continue to keep in touch and will update you with the latest information via text/email and/or a phone call. If you have not heard from them for any reason, please get in touch.
At Alert Level 4 some workplaces, which are deemed to be essential services, continue to operate with heightened safety measures in place such as social distancing and additional PPE. Others are unable to operate at Alert Level 4.
At Alert Level 2 we anticipate more of our clients will have a requirement for contractors. Our clients will operate with COVID-19 Alert Level 2 protocols in place.
Your best source of accurate and up-to-date information can be found on the COVID-19 website.
While Auckland remains at Alert Level 4, unless you are performing essential service work you must stay home. At Alert Level 4, remember to stay in your immediate household bubble, keep at least 2 metres from other people at all times while in public (this includes exercising, visiting the supermarket etc.), and please wear a mask when you leave your house.
For the rest of New Zealand at Alert Level 2 you are allowed to move about more freely and more businesses can open. At Alert Level 2 businesses need to ensure they have methods to enable contact tracing, you need to remain at least 1 metre apart from other people while at work. It is mandatory to wear a face mask while visiting public venues and we recommend wearing a face mask if you are in close contact with others.
