8 April 2020 · Absolute IT IT News Reports

The government’s announcement on Tuesday 17th August 2021, and the subsequent move to a nationwide Level 4 at 11:59pm that day, was certainly not the news we wanted to hear – but we are prepared.

Last year we all proved how effective a Level 4 lockdown can be. When we all play our part, take the right safety precautions and look out for each other, we can once again stamp out Covid-19 in the community.

Our Recruitment Processes

Our Absolute IT team continues to operate remotely and should be your first port of call for any questions regarding the recruitment process. In many instances, the recruitment process can continue by utilising video calls, phone calls and email. In some cases the process may need to be paused, but we will communicate any changes to you.

Our Contractors

If you are a current Absolute IT contractor, your consultant will have been in touch to update you with the latest information via email and/or a phone call. If you have not heard from them for any reason, please get in touch.

Some workplaces, which are deemed to be essential services, continue to operate with heightened safety measures in place such as social distancing and additional PPE. Others are unable to operate at Level 4.

Staying Safe

As of 11.59pm on Tuesday 17th August 2021, all of New Zealand moved into an Alert Level 4 lockdown. This is currently projected to remain in place for seven days in Auckland and the Coromandel, and three days for the rest of the country. This means that unless you are performing an essential service job you must stay home.

Remember: stay in your immediate household bubble, keep at least 2 metres from other people at all times while in public (this includes exercising, visiting the supermarket etc.), and please wear a mask when you leave your house.

The Ministry of Health has identified locations of interest in Coromandel and Auckland – if you are, or have been in these areas recently, ensure you check the list of locations as they become available, and follow the advice specified.
